Polar Vortex G/29

Remember when we used to just call it "cold weather" and we simply went about our business? Well, forget the good old days. They are over! We need extra drama for everything, so lets call it a POLAR VORTEX! Yes, as if our cold air used to come directly from the equator.

Oh, well. Maybe the good old days are not over, because your friends will be at the Westport Chess Club's favorite warm and cozy place tomorrow night. THE WESTPORT FLEA MARKET!

For anyone not familiar with the the details, the following is true for every 2nd Tuesday of the month:

2nd Tuesday of the month G/29 chess tournament @ 7 PM
Every 2nd-Tuesday of the month our club hosts a rated Game-29 round-robin chess tournament. You have to be a member of the USCF to participate. Each player will have 29 minutes to make their moves. You will play 3 rounds in a round-robin system, and there will be 4 players per section. Sections will be created according to your USCF quick rating (You will only play people near your current rating.) The entry fee is $5, and the winner of each section will win $15. Since this is G/29, only your quick rating will be affected. Registration begins at 6:30.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ATTEND, EVEN IF NOT PLANNING TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT, AS THERE ARE ALWAYS CASUAL GAMES BEING PLAYED ON THE SIDE.
