Hi! I'm contacting you on behalf of the Midwest Music Foundation. We are doing a benefit to raise funds to send Kansas City area bands to SXSW for our third annual MidCoast Takeover showcase.
We have a beautiful handcrafted chess set that has been donated for the cause that will be up for auction on December 9th as part of our next fundraiser, the Murder Ballad Ball at Riot Room.
We have put a buy it now price of $400 on the set and a reserve of $200. It was crafted by local musician and artisan, Mark Smeltzer.
I have attached a few pictures of the set. If any of your members would be interested, they can see the set at our event or we can arrange a showing at one of your chess nights if there is enough interest. Sherman Brenneman (who I have cc'd on this message) is currently storing the set until our event.
